Reflecting on 2024, preparing for 2025
The process of creating the presentation uncovered just how much our developing network has achieved in just 5 months.
Our collaborative presentation for Global Donut Days (GDD) on the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) platform signals a time to pause and reflect as the end of 2024 approaches.
The video of our presentation is available on the GDD site See the full program and register here for the next few weeks while the DEAL team decide how they will document the presentations from the event. You can also see our slides and scripts here and add any comments or questions.
The process of creating the presentation uncovered just how much our developing network has achieved in just 5 months, with no funding, and relying on the resources to hand. It has set us up well for 2025.
Thank you to all who have participated, supported, commented, liked and shared our posts this year.
We are suspending our Regen Brisbane fortnightly zoom meetings and plan to come together in late January 2025 to consider our next steps. You can still keep in touch with us via the Regen Brisbane Substack and our own individual Substacks. Find out more at the bottom of our About page if you are looking at this in a browser, or under the People tab is you are using the app.
Preparing for 2025
We will send a notice before our first meeting in 2025. In the meantime, we can all avoid getting bogged down in never-ending arguments and start some productive conversations by asking:
What would it be like if the Greater Brisbane area transitioned to a Doughnut economy - staying within the planetary boundaries while meeting the needs of all the people within?
What would that future look like?
How might we contribute towards making that happen?
