Update 7 November 2024
Global Dounut Days 2024 update, Reminder: next zoom meeting is tomorrow, Friday 8th.
Global Donut Days 2024
Many thanks to
for hosting our discussion on Doughnut Economics for Global Donut Days on Sunday. We started with this video with Kate Rayworth giving a quick introduction to Doughnut Economics and then had a wide-ranging discussion on what that could mean locally. And we ate doughnuts!
Our zoom session this morning went well. This session has been a really creative collaboration across 4 times zones, with with Min from Y-Donut(Yongin Doughnut Economics Coalition) (South Korea) and Ed Morrison from Strategic Doing (America), me in Australia, and the DEAL team in the UK. It shows the power of global connections and internet technology for creating change.
The slides with transcripts are on Regen Brisbane in English and Y-Donut in Korean but for the discussion, you’ll need to watch the recording.
The recordings of all sessions will be on the DEAL site soon. There are some fascinating events including:
How has Doughnut Economics been applied across Aotearoa?
Doughnut Economics for Business and Investors
Taking Doughnut Economics to Schools and Education: How to get started!
A Global Story of Change: how can nations get into the Doughnut?
Sectors Meet the Doughnut - Sector transformation through three initiatives
Regen Brisbane ZOOM - tomorrow (Friday)
Our fortnightly Zoom catchup is this Friday 8th November at 2:30pm.
