Progress Update - 29 June 2024
Exhibition post, reminder about zoom on Friday 5th, and Substack workshop on Sunday 7th July.
Building on our zoom on 21 June (review here) and our takeaway tasks. What’s doable? And what has the most impact for the resources involved?
- has posted an article Turning Trash into Treasure on her own Substack and cross-posted to Regen Brisbane - you will have received it by email.
- has added her profile on Substack and is now on the list of contributors on our About page. Having a profile makes it easy for people to find you and include you in conversations - see how to set yours up.
I have cross-posted a Shady Lanes article Conflict or Opportunity? - you will have received it by email.
Monica has written an article about the exhibition she was telling us about at the last meeting. This was posted direct to the Regen Brisbane Substack yesterday. Rather than send you two emails, I’ve embedded it into this post - see below and follow the link. All emails you get from Regen Brisbane are included on the website.
We are taking small doable steps, getting to know each other and learning as we go. Through these articles, we also find where our interests and skills intersect.

How to use SubStack - Sunday 7th July 2024
Sunday 7th July - Joint ACF Brisbane Northside and Regen Brisbane “Using Substack for groups, advocacy, and networking” at Bracken Ridge Library 3pm to 5pm.
As the Internet evolves, social media is becoming less effective at reaching a wide audience. Many people don't use it. Earlier this year, The ACF Brisbane Northside group moved to using Substack as their main communication platform.
I transfered much of the Shady Lanes Project to Substack in October 2023 because of the way it is built to support networks and collaborations.
We will have a presentation/workshop and discussion on how to use it for publishing and networking for change, as well as reading. We will cover things like the difference between posts and cross-posts and how to choose which to do. There will be a Q&A. If you have anything specific that you’d like covered, please add in the comments below. RSVP essential
